The invention proposes a full-lining disc brake with a revolving, externally ribbed brake housing and a pneumatic application device which is especially suitable for heavy-wheeled and track-laying vehicles in which high-performance friction linings with good heat conduction are used. The brake is encapsulated to protect it from the ingress of dirt and water without the need for temperature-sensitive sealing materials. The brake has a revolving, two-part brake housing and, on the fixed brake anchor plate, has brake discs which are mounted so as to be fixed in the circumferential direction but movable in the axial direction, and carry the brake linings. Arranged between the brake discs is a pneumatic application device which fills the annular space between the brake anchor plate and the brake housing, this application device consisting of an annular cylinder supported on a brake disc and of an annular piston mounted so as to be axially movable in the annular cylinder, fitted with piston ring seals and having cylindrical extensions uniformly distributed around the circumference and resting against the second brake disc. The extensions, which are likewise sealed off by piston rings, penetrate a cover which closes off the annular cylinder. <IMAGE>
