The kit for producing furniture according to the invention essentially consists of boards (10, 10') and connecting strips (14). The boards have passage holes (11, 12) arranged a short distance from one another and extending from one face to the other. The connecting strips (14) are provided on at least two neighbouring sides with dowels (15, 16) which are arranged at the same distance from one another as the holes (11 and 12). To connect the boards (10, 10'), the connecting strips (14) are driven by their dowels (15, 16) into the holes (11, 12). Since both the boards and the connecting strips are composed of material capable of being sawn and cut, a kit consisting of these elements can be used to produce articles of furniture of any desired dimensions with a minimum of effort. <IMAGE>
