PURPOSE:To eliminate an aperture and a shutter device and furthermore to prevent a blooming phenomenon, by providing a gate switch to dump and erase the photodetecting charge and then controlling the make the break of the gate switch in terms of time to control the exposure time. CONSTITUTION:A gate pulse G1 controls the make and break of the 1st gate switch which gives a gate control to the period during which the electric charge is delivered to a shift register from a photosensitive cell 4, i.e., a photodetecting part. A gate pulse G2 controls the make and break of the 2nd gate switch which gives a gate control to the period during which the electric charge to a drain part is erased. The exposure time is decided by the transfer speed of the electric charges of horizontal and vertical shift registers 2 and 3. Thus the light volume given to the cell 4 is controlled after the transfer speed is set at a constant level. Then the exposure is decided to control the exposure time. When the excessive electric charge is stored in the cell 4, the make and break of the 2nd gate switch is controlled by the pulse G2. As a result, it is possible to feed the electric charge of only optional volume to the register 3. Thus the functions of a diaphragm and a shutter device are obtained in an equivalent way. |
