摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce power source capacity, in an impact type dot printer, by automatically changing the operation into a plurality of printing times on the same line when the power source is overloaded due to the increase in the number of simultaneously driven pins. CONSTITUTION:When ordinary letters are printed, data DATA stored in a memory 13 is read by a driver 19, and printing pins in a printing head 20 are selectively driven. Under the normal loading state, about 1/3 the entire pins are driven. When the entire printing pins are driven and black solid printing is performed, the printing is started as in the case for ordinary characters. When a power source circuit 2 is overloaded, a voltage detecting circuit 3 generates a signal S1, and the printing head 20 is returned to a home position. An address counter sequentially outputs addresses ADS from 0 again. At first, the operation of 3.(ADS) is performed and the result is outputted. Therefore, the black solid printing is performed only for the part of upper 1/3.
