<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the titled optical adaptor whose splicing loss is low, by providing a ring-shaped member or a cover ring having a groove to be fitted to a locking use projecting part provided on a plug, on the adaptor, so that the groove can be fixed in a selected arbitrary turning position. CONSTITUTION:In the eccentric direction of fiber cores 31, 32 in ferrules 21, 22, locking use projecting parts 26, 27 of optical connector plugs 2, 3 are positioned, respectively. In this case, when the projecting part 27 of the plug 3 is positioned in a symmetrical position in the eccentric direction 37 and installed to bodies 4a, 4b, positions of axes 33, 34 of the fiber cores 31, 32 in the ferrules 21, 22 are fixed to a position where the opposed distance is the shortest, respectively, on each locus circle 35, 36. In this way, the axial shift amount of the fiber cores 31, 32 becomes minimum, and a splicing loss at the time of splicing the plugs 2, 3 can be minimized.</p> |
