PURPOSE:To make it possible to place a work with heavy weight on a pallet and engage with it, while improving the rigidity of a pallet changer by allowing a pallet to travel after placing on the table of a machine tool, the tip part of a rail along which the pallet runs. CONSTITUTION:When a rail 14 for running is advanced toward the table T of a machine tool, the tip part 14b of the rail 14 is placed on the table T and engaged with it, and thereby the rail 14 is stopped in its advance. In this situation, a pallet P within a pallet changer 10 is transferred onto the table T via the rail 14 which has been engaged with said table T as mentioned the above. |
