PURPOSE:To improve the adhesion of an angled glass of an automobile by tilting towards the interior of a car an edge flange of a car's opening to which the angled glass is bonded through both side edges thereof so as to form wedge-like spaces which are enlarged toward the extremity of the flange between both faces of the glass and the flange. CONSTITUTION:A rear pillar flange 2 and an upper flange 3 of a rear fender panel are tilted toward th interior of a car, forming wedge-like spaces A and B which are respectively angled at theta1 and theta2 with respect to a glass face (a). During fitting an angled glass 1 in the wedge-like spaces A and B by inserting along with dam rubber 4 and bond 5, the side end part 1a of the glass 1 is shifted from the assumed-line position to the solid-line position whereby the extremities (b) and (c) of the flanges 2 and 3 stand outside the path of the bond 5. Therefore, the bond 5 on the glass face (a) may be prevented from being scraped off by said extremities (b) and (c) and be sufficient for sticking, hence preventing water from leaking therefrom. |
