PURPOSE:To accuratly fix a stopping positon of a tape, by a method wherein a driving shaft for feeding the tape can be rotated forwardly at a high and low speeds and be rotated reversely, and detection of marks, a clutching operation and a braking operation are performed at the time of a low-speed rotation. CONSTITUTION:The driving shaft 5 starts to be rotated forwardly at a high speed when it is brought to a point C by a cam 6. The rotation of the shaft 5 is transmitted to a roller shaft 21 by a clutch 4, and a label 1 is fed at a high speed by a roller 2. Thereafter, the shaft 5 is changed to rotate at a low speed by the cam 6, and when the marks 11 provided on the label 1 at regular intervals are detected by a photoelectric tube 7 at this time B, the clutch 4 is released and abrake 3 rapidly brakes the roller shaft 21, whereby the roller 2 is rapidly stopped. The shaft 5 is rotated forwardly further to a point D, and thereafter is started to rotate reversely by the cam 6. At the time A' of changing from the reverse rotation to forward rotation, the brake 3 is released and the clutch 4 is engaged. |
