PURPOSE:To provide a titled roll which prevents cracking of a sleeve roll and is provided with durability by interposing an intermediate alloy layer consisting of a copper alloy and austenitic alloy steel at the intermediate of a roll shaft having a cooling water hole at the axial center and the sleeve roll. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate alloy layer 5 is disposed between the outside circumferential surface in the body part of a roll shaft 3 having a cooling water hole 2 of roll for continuous casting and the inside circumferential surface of a sleeve roll 4. The central region part 5a of the layer 5 consists of a copper alloy consisting of 75-80wt% Cu, 8-15% Al, 3-5% Ni, 0.3-1.5% Mn, and the balance impurities such as Fe and having high heat conductivity and high fatigue strength and the side end region parts 5b1, 5b2 consist of austenitic alloy steel consisting of 0.3-0.7% C, <=2% Mn, <=2.5% Si, 15-20% Cr, 60-70% Ni, and the balance Fe with impurities and having low heat conductivity and high fatigue strength.
