PURPOSE:To extremely improve working efficiency, by inserting a steel wire into a bore of a Al-rod while continuously extruding the Al-rod having a segmentally circular cross section by an extrusion forming, and forming a composite rod so that the Al-rod covers the outer surface of the steel wire and adheres to the steel wire tightly. CONSTITUTION:A hot extrusion forming of a Al-billet is performed with a die 2 by extruding a Al-rod 3 formed to have a gap 3a along the longitudinal direction. A steel wire 8 is continuously inserted, from a steel wire coil 7 along a guide wheel 9, into a groove-shaped bore of the rod 3 through the gap 3a to form a composite rod. Next, when the formed composite rod is cold drawn through a forming die 10, both side surfaces 3b and 3c, facing each other through the gap 3a, are butted so that the Al-rod 3 covers the wire 8 perfectly. |
