PURPOSE:To reduce floor space by installing a return conveyor chain for head replacement pallet inside a slit of a working platform in a multi-station type machine with a working platform for head replacement. CONSTITUTION:A slit H' for a chain travelling guide of a return conveyor C is cut into a working platform H. A pair of fixed wedge K1 and movable wedge K2 are provided inside the slit H' at one place or more. The contact face of the wedge K2 is fitted with a plate P made of phenol resin or the like having a low friction coefficient. When the return conveyor C travels in the arrow direction, the movable wedge K2 comes to a halt at a position where it is restrained by a front stop K1' by a friction force produced between the lower surface of the chain and the movable wedge K2. This position is so set that it may be slightly higher than the height of the upper surface of the working platform H. |
