PURPOSE:To control the average value of a current with high responsiveness and high stability, by providing a current change control circuit to a current control circuit, to control the change component of a load current based on the difference of current between the generating time points of gate pulses. CONSTITUTION:The current command value IMC is compared with the actual value IM through a comparator 20, and this deviation is applied to a current control circuit 5. The average value of a current I flowing to a DC motor 2 is controlled, and a compensating operation is performed to deliver the current rate command value IRC. On the other hand, a current change factor detecting circuit 8 delivers the change factor value IRRF of the current I of a period of an ignition pulse P produced from a gate pulse generating circuit 9. Then the value IRC is compared with the value IRRF through a comparator 21, and both values are applied to a current rate control circuit 7. The circuit 7 performs a compensating operation of deliver a firing angle command alpha. The circuit 9 applies ignition pulses to the thyristors S1-S6 of power converter 1 with the phase corresponding to the command alpha and then applies the DC voltage to the motor 2 from an AC power supply 3. |
