PURPOSE:To operate efficiently a compound prime mover plant and to make possible to run it at a certain load speed, by providng a controlling gear with load adjusing means, engine output setting means, running mode setting means, load control means, and engine output allotting arithmetic means. CONSTITUTION:A compound prime mover plant 1 has a compound engine 4 and a load 3, and the compound engine 4 comprises gas turbine engines 6a,...6n and a steam turbine 11. A controlling gear 2 includes load adjusting means 20, engine output setting means 30, running mode setting means 40, load control means 70 and engine output allotting arithmetic means 50. In accordance with the state of load, the output of the compound engine is set, the speed of the load 3 is retained by correcting the propeller pitch angle, and the running mode is suitably switched over. Thus, the compound plant can be efficiently operated, and can be run stably at a certain load speed. |
