<p>PURPOSE:To read out the character data on the voiceless sounds, voiced sounds and semivoiced sounds in a quick and assured way, by designating the character data in accordance with the turning direction and turning speed of a rotor. CONSTITUTION:A rotor S which can turn in two directions generates a pulse with every turn of a prescribed angle. At the same time, a storage circuit M stores the character data on the voiceless sounds, voiced sounds and semivoiced sounds of KANA (Japanese syllabary) letters. When the rotor S changed to the backword turns from the forward turns to select the character data on the voiced sounds and semivoiced sounds, the pulses are generated from a pulse generating circuit B to reset counters C1-C4. At the same time, the output of a detecting circuit A is set at 0 owing to the backward turns of the rotor, and the counters C3 and C4 are selected by a selecting circuit SE. The counters C1 and C2 are not selected. The counter C3 is advanced with the backward turns of the rotor S, and the character data on the voiced sounds are read out in the order of Japanese syllabary.</p> |
