PURPOSE:To read a video signal successively without requiring adjustment of positioning by arranging >=2 CCD sensors in parallel while they overlap one another slightly, and holding optional sampling intervals constant. CONSTITUTION:CCD sensors 7 and 8 are arranged in parallel overlapping slightly. The sensor 7 is connected to an amplifier 101 firstly. Then, an optional sampling phase is set in a sample phase latch circuit 110, and an address of an RAM104 is set in an address counter 105. When the start of a read is indicated, a video signal from the sensor 7 is stored in the RAM104. Then, the sensor 8 is connected to the amplifier 101 and a sampling phase 0 for holding sampling intervals between the CCDs 7 and 8 constant is set in a sampling phase indication latch circuit 110. A starting address is set in a word counter 106, and a read is performed similarly to the sensor 7 to store a video signal in the RAM104. Thus, the sampled signals of the sensors 7 and 8 are obtained in the RAM104. |
