摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the size of an upper oil tank and save labor for inspection and maintenance of water leakage or the like, by a method wherein a porion of a lubricating oil supplied from an exeterior oil cooler is branched and is supplied to a bearing in the upper oil tank, and is circulated from the upper and lower oil tanks by a centrifugal pump means. CONSTITUTION:A portion of the lubricating oil cooled by the oil cooler 20 is branched into an oil supply pipe 31, the flow rate of the oil is adjusted by a valve 32, and the oil is supplied to a guide bearing 16 provided in the upper oil tank 17. The lubricating oil is returned into the lower oil tank 14 through an overflow oil tank 30 and an overflow oil pipe 33, is mixed with the lubricating oil contained in the tank 14, is fed under pressure by the centrifugal pump means 11, is forced into the oil cooler 20 through an oil discharge pipe 21, and is cooled. Accordingly, the temperature of the lubricating oil for the bearing in an upright-shaft rotary electric machine is prevented from being elevated, and it can be unnecessitated to provide an oil cooler in the upper oil tank.
