B6 and D2] An ink composition for a sheet for use in stencil printing is made by dissolving in an organic solvent a substantially colourless leuco dye, which can form a colour in contact with a Lewis acid, and mixing with the solution, with heating, a polymeric compound having a melting point of 45‹ to 210‹ C. In the Examples: (1) 3,3- bis - (paradimethylamino - phenyl) - 6 - dimethylaminophthalide is dissolved in chlorinated diphenyl, liquid paraffin is added, followed by polyethylene, and paraffin wax, and the mixture heated; (2) benzoyl-leuco-methylene blue is dissolved in chlorinated diphenyl and heated, polychlorotrifluoroethylene is melted and stirred into the hot solution, (3) rhodamine betalactam is dissolved in chlorinated diphenyl, ketone resin is added and the mixture heated; (4) malachite green lactone is dissolved in butyl acetate, chlorinated triphenyl is added, then liquid paraffin and an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, all while heating; (5) 3,3-bis-(paradimethylaminophenyl)-6-dimethylaminophthalide and leucomethylene blue are dissolved in a mixture of chlorinated diphenyl and kerosine, polyamide is added and the mixture heated; (6) 3-diethylamino-7-methylaminofluoran is dissolved in chlorinated diphenyl, liquid paraffin is added, followed by polyethylene and heating. |
