PURPOSE:To perform invariably optimum picture trasmission while eliminating limitation of the installation place of a picture transmitter, by optionally selecting spatial optical communication or optical fiber communication, and then performing the picture transmission. CONSTITUTION:Light emitted from the light emitting element 501 of a light transmission part 500 while passed through a half-mirror 503 is reflected by the mirror 503 to reach an optical fiber 505. The light beam entering the fiber 505 is supplied through the fiber 505 to a photodetection part similar to a photodetection part 700. Therefore, this light transmission part 500 allows spatial optical communication by spatial propagation via lens 502 and optical fiber communication through the fiber 505 to be performed selectively. Consequently, the spatial optical communication or optical fiber communication is selected easily according to the conditions of the installation place of the photodetection part 500. |
