PURPOSE:To obtain beautifully copied image properly by changing the biasing voltage to be applied upon a developing device according to the rates of regulation of image adjusting means. CONSTITUTION:In the stage of using an n type semiconductor such as cds as a photoreceptor 1, the surface of a photoreceptor is charged uniformly to about 1,500V with a primary charge 2 and is destaticized with a secondary destaticizer 3 of the polarity reversed from that of primary charging or AC approximately simultaneously with picture exposure; thereafter the photoreceptor 1 receives full surface light uniformly with a lamp 8, whereby latent images are formed thereon. The apparent potential in dark parts and the potential in bright parts can be changed by changing the DC voltage to be applied upon a developing device, and it is possible to change image characteristic while maintaining the quantity of illuminating light constant by changing the apparent potentials. Thereupon, the regulating volume control 11 of an power source 10 for biasing of developing and an exposure regulating volume control 13 for voltage regulation of a power source 12 for exposure are regulated cooperatively. |
