PURPOSE:To stably control meandering, by automatically controlling the amount of differential signals and control gais of a controlling operation in accordance with low-pass filter cutoff frequencies, in controlling the meandering by the value equivalent to the amount of meandering and a sum of differential values of said equivalent values. CONSTITUTION:The difference Pdf between both rolling loads Pw and Pd at operation and rolling sides is computed by an operator 18 to output a load difference signal after removing high frequency components by a low-pass filter 24. A differentiator 19 outputs a differential signal P1df of which high-frequency components amplified by the differentiator 19 are removed, and then the signal Pdf is added to said differential signal by an operator 20 to input a summing signal Pdfc to a variable factor setter 21. The ratio between a parallel rigidity K of the rolling mill and a controlling factor alpha is set in the setter 21. Cutoff frequencies set to the filter 24 and 25 by cutoff frequency setters 27 and 28 are inputted to a constant correcting circuit 26. A factor alpha and a differential time constant T within a converging and stabilized territory prescribed in accordance with the cutoff frequency are preset by the circuit 26, and are fed back to the setter 21 and the differentiator 19. |
