<p>PURPOSE:To specify, retrieve, or sort part of data by performing processing according to input data and storing and displaying the result, and specifying specific data in a storage means and retrieving or sorting records of data in a table in the storage means. CONSTITUTION:A CPU performs arithmetic, logical judgement, etc., to control an address bus AB, a control bus CB, and a data bus DB. A keyboard KB is provided with a key group CH for character input and a key group for function input, i.e. a range starting key RS, a range ending key RE, a retrieval key SL, a sorting key CL, and cursor keys CK. The system when powered up is initialized following the procedure stored in a control memory ROM. Then, the keys CK and CH are operated to display a document, etc., on a CRT. To obtain a specific record, the keys RS and RE are pressed for keyword registration, the cursor is moved to the starting line of data to be retrieved, and the key SL is pressed, displaying only the record including the keyword.</p> |
