PURPOSE:To carry out careful correction by forming an intermediate negative with a negative for gravure, a diffusion sheet and a duplicate film and by comparing the negative for gravure to offset prints formed with the intermediate negative and a lith type film. CONSTITUTION:A negative for gravure is formed from a color original by direct color separation. A diffusion sheet and a duplicate film different from a lith type film in sensitivity are brought into contact with the negative and exposed, and the duplicate film is developed to obtain an intermediate negative. The intermediate negative is superposed on the photosensitive surface of a lith type film, and by a contact reversal method a positive for offset is formed. This positive for offset is brought into contact with the photosensitive layer of a plate material for offset and exposed, and by developing the plate material, an offset printing plate is obtd. Offset prints are formed with the printing plate and compared to the negative for gravure. Edge effects such as contrast and fine gradation can be detected with the prints. |
