Multi-position temp. controlled thermostat calibration equipment - has uniformly solid metal block, direct temperature sensing and eliminates need of corrosion liquids

Thermostats to be calibrated are placed in longitudinal bores drilled near the periphery of a cylindrical bronze or steel metal block. An axial cylindrical cavity houses a resistance heater element. The heating block is enclosed in an outer heat insulating jacket and base and central vent hole allows excess heat to be removed if required. The thermostats are heated uniformly. A power control unit receives signals from temp. sensors in the heater cavity and in one of the peripheral bores. The temp. at the centre of the block is held at a constant, pre-determined value whilst a digital readout indicates the temp. at the peripheral bores. Power feeds to the individual thermostats supply indicator lights to show when thermostat switching action takes place. Adjustments can be made to the thermostat following calibration at three fixed temps.
