PURPOSE:To provide sufficient acceleration performance without abating the comfortableness by closing a control valve which is disposed at either one of suction sides of a compessor having two suction ports and one discharge port when a car is accelerated, so as to lessen the load of the compressor on an engine. CONSTITUTION:In normal cooling operation a control valve 8 is opened and refrigerant is sucked from two suction ports 2a and 2b into two cylinders to be compressed therein and squeezed from a discharge port 3. If the cooling load in the car is reduced, the control valve 8 is closed to cut off the inflow of the refrigerant from the suction port 2b, one cylinder related to the suctin port 2a being remained operating to reduce the cooling capacity. The car may be accordingly driven with the reduced load of the compressor on the engine. |
