PURPOSE:To reduce slag produced and to perform pretreatment for molten pig effectively by a method in which at tapping spout, the molten pig tapped from a blast furnace is divided into two groups composed of slag main stream and molten pig stream, and desired treatments are separately achieved in each groups. CONSTITUTION:The mixture of molten slag and molten pig tapped from a blast furnace 1 is separated by a skimmer 5D equiped in a tapping spout. The separated slag flows into a slag stream 16, and then by means of dampers 4a- 4e, it is sent to one of a water-granulating device 2, slag pit 3 and slag ladles 7a-7e and is treated. The molten pig flowing into molten pig stream 6 is introduced into pretreatment-vessels 8A, 8B, 8C by the operation of dampers 11a, 11b, 12a-12c, 13a-13c and 14a at diverging points 11, 12, 13 and 14, and the outside-refinning such as desiliconizing, desulphurizing and dephosphorizing are successively carried out. Next, the pig is sent to a tilting vessel or shoot 15 via junction 14 and is dropped into mixer cars 9A or 9B. |
