PURPOSE:To enable a station wagon to be used to carry either persons or cargo, by providing three transverse seats and changing the posture of the second and the third seats. CONSTITUTION:The floor 2 of a vehicle 1 extends up at the rear part so that the floor has a step-like surface 2a. A front seat 3, an intermediate seat 4 and a rear seat 5 are provided. Since the intermediate seat 4 has link-like legs 6, 7, te seat can be moved downward while being moved forward from a state of use at the same level as the rear seat 5. The backrest 42 of the intermediate seat 4 can be turned backward relative to its cushion 41 so that the backrest and the cushion are put in flush contact with each other. The backrest 52 of the rear seat 5 coupled to the step-like surface 2a of the floor 2 by short links 8 can be turned forward to the cushion 51 of the seat so that the seat is folded. The backrest 52 can be also turned backward so that it is put in flush contact with the cushion 51. |
