In the case of a flexible conduit of a corrugated metal inner tube and an extruded plastic sheath with anti-corrosive layer lying in between, there rests on the inner tube (1) at least one electrically insulated metal conductor (4, 4a), the insulation layer of which is not resistant to petrochemical fluids. The indicating conductor (4, 4a) is applied helically with such a pretension that, in the event of a leakage, once the insulating layer has dissolved, decomposed or softened, an electrical contact is established between the indicating conductor (4, 4a) and the inner tube (1) or between the indicating conductors (4, 4a). <IMAGE>
