PURPOSE:To prevent freezing of the titled collector and decrease the reduction of damage of a heat pipe vessel by evacuating a part of the vessel of the heat pipe. CONSTITUTION:A heat medium such as water or the like is sealed in the vessel 5 of the heat pipe which plays a role of a heat collecting part, and a hollow part 7 is provided in the vessel 5 in the vicinity of the liquid surface and the hollow part 7 is maintained in a vacuum or low-pressure state. By this arrangement, diffusion of heat can be prevented, and water freezes from the lower end and expands in the axial direction, whereby the damage of the vessel 5 can be prevented. |
