The invention relates to a transmission, in particular a change-speed transmission with an integrated differential, for motor vehicles, having a housing made of light alloy and at least one shaft made of steel which is mounted without play in thrust bearings between two transverse walls of the housing. To compensate the differences in thermal expansion between the housing and the shaft, one transverse wall or one bearing cover is provided with regulating elements with a different coefficient of expansion to that of the light alloy and these deform the bearing cover in the event of temperature changes by producing a bimetal effect in the region of the thrust bearing. |
