In these stators, which have a hollow chamber which serves to receive a helical rotor, bar-shaped steel thrust members running longitudinally on the outer circumference and arranged at intervals from one another are provided, which are moved radially inwards for the adjustment of the stator by a clamp. In order to prevent axial deformations of the stator during operation of the pump and at the same time to largely prevent distortions and unwanted stresses for adjusting the stator, the distance between the thrust members is considerably greater than their width. Round bars are preferably used for this purpose. The stator can also be hooped on the outside by high-tensile bands.
