Anchor bolt

An anchor bolt has a connecting part, a smooth shank section and a push-in part provided with projecting carbide inserts and/or a profiled section. The push-in part has an axially running slot into which a displaceable expanding wedge projects. During the setting operation, the expanding wedge sits on the bottom of the drill hole and widens the push-in part equipped with carbide inserts, in the course of which the originally cylindrical drill hole filled with a mortar cartridge is provided with a conical undercut.
