<p>PURPOSE:To prevent inadequate cornering characteristics by providing a speed control means controlling the traveling speed to a preset speed or less when switching to a front/rear wheel steerable state in the constitution capable of switching to the front/rear wheel steerable state and a front wheel steerable state. CONSTITUTION:When an ignition key 26 is operated to switch to a front/rear wheel steerable state, a transfer switch 35 is switched to an open state accordingly. Under this condition, when the traveling speed of a vehicle reaches a preset speed, a predetermined speed detection signal is fed to a CDI (capacitor discharging igniter) 31 from a vehicle speed sensor 36, and the ignition is cut off by the CDI 31. As a result, the energization of an ignition coil 33 is cut off, and the preset speed or more is not attained. That is, if a sharp turn is required under the low-speed traveling condition, the sharp turn performance can be sufficiently exerted with the front/rear wheel steerable state. As a matter of course, the front wheel steerable state may be used at the high-speed travel.</p> |
