The invention relates to a supporting frame for bags (S), especially textile laundry bags, with a supporting ring (6), around which the upper bag edge can be folded in a collar-like manner and which is provided with a rubber covering or the like. The object to be achieved is to provide a supporting frame, by means of which a slip-resistant holding of the bag, secure uniformly over the circumference of the supporting ring, is guaranteed in the clamping position of the bag on the supporting ring, furthermore an uncomplicated clamping of the upper bag edge on the covering and a simple or time-saving release of the upper bag edge from the covering, which can itself easily be produced and attached to the supporting ring, are to be made possible. For this purpose, provision is made for the covering to be connected at a distance from its upper edge, by means of an annular rib (14), to a longitudinally elastic band or strip (15) spanning the covering. <IMAGE>
