PURPOSE:To make constitution simple and to improve extinguishing performance, by so constituting that air in a fuel tank is blown out to the vicinity of a wick from a gap between the wick and an external wick cylinder accordingly as the wick descends in case of an emergency, in a titled extinguisher for a wick type petroleum combustor. CONSTITUTION:A movable disk 12 is moved dowmward inside a fuel tank 18 and the top of a wick 7 is descended from a combustion chamber 19 by action of an oscillation sensor. Air inside the fuel tank 18 is boosted by downward movement of the movable disk 12 and is blown out to the vicinity of the wick from a gap 17 between metal fittings 10 and an external wick cylinder 4. Evaporated petroleum gas and hot air, therefore, in the vicinity of the wick 7 are blown off for instantaneous extinguishing. With this constitution, structure is simplified and extinguishing performance can be improved. |
