PURPOSE:To prevent malfunction and to detect the number of revolutions accurately by irradating two beams of light to a part to be detected and deviating the detection timings thereof. CONSTITUTION:This meter consists of a rotary disc 10 having a notch 9 for switching in a circumferential edge part, and two sets of pairs of optical fibers 11a and 11b, 12a and 12b which are faced to each other via the disc 10. The fibers 11a, 12a are so arranged as to emit continuous rays nu1, nu2 toward the fibers 11b, 12b which are photodetecting parts, respectively. An O/E converter are connected to the fibers 11b, 12b, and the rays nu1, nu2 are outputted respectively as electrical outputs S, R. Thus the simultaneous detection of the rays nu1, nu2 is obviated, and the number of revolutions is detected accurately without malfunction despite the generation of vibrations in the radial direction of the disc 10. |
