Arrangement of bearing journals of the reciprocating springs of a double axle unit of commercial vehicles on vehicle frames which project laterally outwards from the side members and are fixed directly by means of flanges on a cross member arranged inside the reciprocating spring swivel axis, which cross member is reinforced by special inserts for absorbing the bending forces and moments directly introduced into it from the bearing journals.
