<p>Gas is fed through a pipe to an appts. using one or more gas flames, the pipe contg. two valves (I,II). The first valve (I) has only two positions, viz. open or closed, and is operated by a hand lever which rotates a shaft (Ia). The second valve (II) controls the amt. of gas flowing through the pipe via a rotating shaft (IIa). The two shafts (Ia,IIa) are parallel, and are connected by a drive unit, so the rotation of shaft (Ia) by the hand lever also adjusts valve (II).. The overall result is that very accurate adjustment of gas flow is possible via a valve assembly (I,II) of relatively simple construction.</p> |
