PURPOSE:To reduce the input of a rotary electric machine by utilizing a magnetic wedge mounted at the slot opening of a stator. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic wedge 4 is mounted at the opening 6 of the slot 5 of a stator 2. A magnetic unit 9 is mounted on the end ring of a rotor 3, and is provided at the opposite position to the wedge 4 of the stator 2. The rotor 3 is stopped at the position where the magnetic unit 9 is attracted to the pole of the wedge 4 of the stator 2, and the stopping position is used to stop the starting torque of a rotary electric machine 1 being large. In this manner, the starting torque of the machine is increased, thereby largely reducing the input at the restarting time of the machine. |
