PURPOSE:To obtain a superhigh output type fluorescent lamp that can amply prolong its luminous distance without degrading the light output of the superhigh output type fluorescent lamp by filling a recessed section between a glass stem and a base with an electric insulating material. CONSTITUTION:As shown in the figure, since a recessed section 10 between a glass stem 2 and a base 7 is filled with an electric insulating material 9 such as organic silicone, the heat of the glass stem 2 can be transmitted to the base 7 through the material 9 and be radiated through a socket that is not illustrated, and then be maintained at a desired temperature of approximately 40 deg.C. Besides, since the recessed section 10 between the glass stem 2 and base 7 is filled with the material 9 sticking to internal induction wires 3 and 3, the material has an electric insulating property. As a result, since electrode lead wires and so on are not short-circuited and the recessed section is amply filled with the material, the temperature of a glass valve end can be maintained at the optimum one with good thermal conductivity. |
