PURPOSE:To impart rust preventing capability to machining fluid itself and eliminate the necessity for adding an anti-rust agent, by using an aqueous solution of acetylene alcohol as the electric discharge machining fluid. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution of, for instance, 2-butine-1, 4-diol or propargyl alcohol and the like is provided as an aqueous solution of acetylene alcohol. Concentration of the 2-butine-1, 4-diol is arranged to a range of 1-50wt%, and concentration of the propargyl alcohol is arranged to a range of 0.3-3wt%. Acetylene alcohol is provided with adsorptive quality to a metal surface and a rust preventing effect to a certain extent. |
