PURPOSE:To enable the editing of a static picture in addition to the ordinary editing with an operation system equal to the ordinary editing, by providing a control routine for the static picture mode in addition to the ordinary mode and properly switching the control routine between the ordinary and static picture modes. CONSTITUTION:When the execution of editing starts, a comparison is carried out first between the data of a start point PIN and finish point POUT of editing which are fed into a player of the reproducing side. When these data are coincident with each other, it is decided that the execution of a static picture is designated. Then a VTR functioning as a player is stopped at the point PIN in a mode of reproduction, and at the same time the VTR functioning as a recorder is stopped at a preroll point and then set in a play mode. Then a tape is driven up to a cut-in point to perform the editing of the static picture. If the data are not coincident between the points PIN and POUT, it is decided an ordinary static picture is not obtained. Thus an ordinary editing mode is set. |
