PURPOSE:To arbitrarily regulate the speed of a motor without loss by providing a main coil and an auxiliary coil on the rotor of the motor and feeding back a power generated at the main coil from the auxiliary coil to the stator coil in response to the degree of the slip. CONSTITUTION:A coil 2 wound on a stator core is connected to a power source, thereby generating a rotary field. A coil 4 is wound on a rotor core, is divided into a main coil W1 and an auxiliary coil W2. The courrent flowed when the circuit connected in series in reverse polarity with the coils W1, W2 is shortcircuited or the current flowed when the coil W2 is shortcircuited is set to become lower than 1/2 of the current flowed when the coil W1 is shortcircuited. A switching element 5A shortcircuits the coil W1, and a switching element 5B shortcircuits either the circuit connected in reverse polarity with the coils W1, W2 or the coil W2. These two sets of switching elements 5A, 5B are alternately conducted, and the conducting width is varied, thereby regulating the rotating speed. |
