SEALED BATTERY

摘要

PURPOSE:To prevent stress concentration in a sealing process and break of a sealing gasket and increase electrolyte leakage resistance by using a sealing plate having a curved surface constructed in an almost concentric configuration to the inner surface of a curled part in a case opening of a sealed battery in the rising part of its circumference. CONSTITUTION:A rising part of a circumference is formed in a curved surface as shown in the figure as 7b'. It is constructed in an almost concentric configuration to the inner surface R of a curled part in an upper end 1a of a battery case after sealing. A sealing gasket 6 in between is comporessed at an effective surface contact A in liquid-tightness with the upper end 1a of the battery case and the rising part 7b' of the sealing plate circumference. Therefore, the deformation flow of a sealing gasket 6 is not disturbed, and excessive stress concertration is prevented. The rising part of the sealing gasket 6 can be compressed in a relatively even stress state. The surface contact A which can be compressed in liquid-tightness provides a complete sealing.
