PURPOSE:To control the rate of supply of powder into a mold accurately by providing means which detect the change in the weight of the powder in a supply hopper, calculate the delivery rate of the powder and control the flow rate of supply and drive a supplying machine in accordance with said rate. CONSTITUTION:The weight of a supply hopper 3 is detected with weight meters 6, 7. The rate of supply of the mold powder to be sprayed on the molten metal surface in a mold is set with a setter 12 for the flow rate of supply, and the weight of supply from a base point is calculated momentarily by an integration circuit 13. Said weight and the weight values from the meters 6, 7 are compared and operated in a controller 14, by the output whereof a driving device 16 for a supplying machine is controlled via a driving circuit 15 for the supplying machine. The empty weight of the supply hopper is detected by comparing the values of a setter 17 for the empty weight of the supply hopper and the meters 6, 7 by a comparator 18 and a transportation instruction to a storage hopper is emitted by the empty signal. By the mechanism of such supplying device, the patterning in the powder supplying density in the transverse direction of the mold is made possible. |
