PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. prepared by adding small amounts of Ni, Co, Fe, or Cu compd. and carbon black or graphite to a silicone rubber compound which contains hydroxide or carbonate of Al or Mg or hydrotalcite. CONSTITUTION:The compsn. is prepared from 100pts. polyorganosiloxane of formula A (where R is a monovalent hydrocarbon group, 50% or higher of which may be substd. with methyl; a is 1.99-2.02 (having a viscosity of 1,000cs or higher (e.g. dimethylpolysiloxane), 10-200pts. hydroxide or carbonate of Al or Mg or hydrotalcite (e.g. aluminum hydroxide), 0-20pts. Ni, Co, Fe or Cu compd. and 0.1-10pts. carbon black or graphite. The compsn. overcomes disadvantages caused by addition of platinum or its compd. and is in conformity with UL. 94V-O specification. |
