<p>PURPOSE:To improve the bonding strength, by applying a prescribed amount of a urethane resin curing catalyst to the interface of the rubber items to be bonded, and then using a moisture-curing type and one-pack type urethane polymer adhesive. CONSTITUTION:A liquid of a urethane resin curing catalyst (e.g. tertiary amines, etc.) dissolved in an inert organic solvent (e.g. methyl ethyl ketone) is applied on the surface of one piece of rubber. After the solvent is dried, a moisture- curing type and one-pack type urethane polymer is applied. Then another piece of rubber is pressed on the former rubber piece, thereby without heating, and cooling treatment, high bonding strength is obtained.</p> |
