Immobilising upper arm by strap secured around arm - and connected to strap secured around body via respective hook-pile fasteners

The arrangement is intended for at least partly immobilising a limb (e.g. an arm or upper arm) relative to the body (e.g. after a shoulder (injury). It comprises a first strap (2) with closure clips (4,6) to secure it around the limb and a second strap (3) which is connected to the first via at least one closed buckle (5,9; 10,14). The strap (2) may be a hook-pile (4) strap with a hook-pile portion (6) at one end and at least one buckle (10,14) at the other end whilst this strap carries two further buckles (5,9) for connection to the second strap (3), this second strap being a hook-pile strap (13) with a hook-pile loop portion (11) at either end.
