Moving display using contrasting colour gases or liquids - flowing through horizontal tubes to form characters or simple shapes

The display framework consists of a number of parallel horizontal channels, an input assembly and an output assembly. Electronically controlled valves at the inlet ends of each channel allow liq. or gas to flow from one of two inlet pipes. Each inlet pipe is connected via a main valve to a reservoir. The clusters of contrasting colour fluid can be used to build up letters or other simple shapes which appear to march across the display screen as the fluid flows through the channels.
