PURPOSE:To obtain a cathode-ray tube, which has an excellent electric insulating property and a high reliability, by using as a panel-glass supporting member, a formed body made of a mixture consisting of mica powder, boric acid and zinc oxide. CONSTITUTION:A supporting member 14 is a heat-resisting insulating body which is formed by pressing a mixture consisting of mica powder, boric acid and zinc oxide after the mixture is heated. Heat treatment work is performed after a panel glass 1 is attached to a heat treatment jig 13 consisting of a supporting member 14 and a jig body 15. As a result, any generation of dust becomes extremely small, and the yield of above heat treatment work is increased. Consequently, a highly reliable cathode-ray tube with an exceptionally high quality can be obtained. |
