PURPOSE:To increase the transfer extent of a light beam by changing the moving speed of a pickup in accordance with the quantity of the light beam deflected by kick pulse for allowing the light beam to jump over an information track. CONSTITUTION:A driving coil 6 is driven in accordance with the value of a radial error signal detector 4 detecting the shift of a light beam in the radial direction of a disk. A set address value is compared with a reproduced address value by a comparator 10, and in accordance with the difference, the output of a kick pulse generator 11 is applied to the driving coil 6. At the same time, a motor 3 for movement in the radial direction of the disk is also driven. |
